West Virginia Positive Behavior Support Network

About Us
Welcome to the new West Virginia Association Positive Behavioral support network. West Virginia has a long history in the field of Positive Behavior Support. Today the Association for Positive Behavior Support Network (WVAPBS) was established in 2003 and evolved from a state training team created in 1991. West Virginia was the first state to establish its own state wide PBS Network. In 2011, the WVAPBS Network became a nonprofit organization and currently, the full network membership meets semi-annually and the leadership team meets on a monthly basis. Positive Behavior Support Network of West Virginia (PBSNWV) is an association of professionals, families, and others who advocate for the social, emotional, and behavioral health of West Virginia children and adults. Through the network, we strive to promote behavior support systems that are strengths-based, community-oriented, and culturally and linguistically responsive.
